Heartwood Center

The Heartwood Center serves as a resource hub for those in need.

In 2021, the founders of New Roots, Inc. created Willow Foundation to fulfill the unmet need for a day shelter/drop-in center for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in the Greater Hazleton Area. 

The Heartwood Center quickly outgrew its initial space and moved to a permanent location in Spring 2022. The former Boyle Funeral Home now exists as a comprehensive resource hub, addressing basic to complex needs while facilitating creative and innovative community-building and empowering underserved and vulnerable populations.
